The Final Academic Board Meeting of the 2025–2026 Academic Year Was Held.

Bartın University (BARÜ) Bartın Vocational School held its June 2026 Academic Board Meeting under the chairmanship of the Director of the Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ramazan ARSLAN.

The meeting was held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 4:00 PM in Classroom MYO-1, with the participation of all academic staff members of the Vocational School, including those attending online from the Kurucaşile campus. The main agenda focused on preparations for the upcoming Council of Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) site visits and the current status of the institution’s quality assurance system.

Accreditation and Quality-Oriented Development

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ramazan ARSLAN emphasized the Vocational School’s commitment to its quality journey. He stated that five academic programs are currently undergoing accreditation processes and that the Quality and Accreditation Commission continues to provide mentoring support throughout these processes. He also noted that three programs successfully completed their accreditation processes in 2025, marking a significant milestone in terms of institutional competence.

Strategic Goals and Transparency

During the Academic Board Meeting, emphasis was placed on the institutional goals outlined in the 2024–2028 Strategic Plan and the necessity of integrating the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle into all organizational processes. Within the framework of transparency and accountability, the importance of regularly updating and publishing the Unit Internal Evaluation Report (UIER), activity reports, and stakeholder survey results on the institution’s website was highlighted.

Stakeholder Participation and Student-Centered Education

Other key topics discussed during the meeting included:

  • Stakeholder Feedback: Integrating feedback obtained from the Advisory Board, alumni, and industry representatives into curriculum updates and ensuring that such feedback directly informs decision-making processes.
  • Modern Approaches in Education: Updating course information packages in accordance with Bloom’s Taxonomy and ensuring full alignment of course learning outcomes with the Turkish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF-HE).
  • Academic Performance and Motivation: Rewarding academic achievements of faculty members based on objective criteria and maintaining activities that enhance motivation within the institution.
  • Students with Special Needs: Within the framework of the Vocational School’s student-centered educational approach, ensuring that examination arrangements and educational materials are appropriately adapted for students with special needs.


The meeting concluded with wishes and recommendations from participants and a shared commitment to ensuring coordinated efforts across all units during the forthcoming YÖKAK site visit process.
