“Social Security Week” Event Organized by the Social Security Program of Our Vocational School - VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

Within the scope of “Social Security Week,” celebrated by the Presidency of the Social Security Institution (SGK), a comprehensive event was organized by the Social Security Program of our Vocational School in cooperation with the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Social Security. Before the seminar, Bartın Provincial Director of Social Security Mustafa Şaban Çengel and accompanying institution staff visited our Director, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arslan, in his office. During the visit, the importance of “Social Security Week” was emphasized, and general evaluations were made regarding stakeholder relations between the Social Security Program of our Vocational School and the Provincial Directorate of SGK, particularly concerning workplace training practices.

Following the visit, an informative seminar was held in Classroom MYO-1, where Provincial Director Mustafa Şaban Çengel met with our students. In his presentation, Çengel provided detailed information on the importance of social security and registered employment, as well as the benefits provided by the Social Security Institution in cases of illness, maternity, occupational accidents and diseases, old age, disability, and death risks. He also addressed the institution’s role in the provision of healthcare services. Combining his professional experience with awareness-building insights, Çengel concluded his presentation after a Q&A session.

In the planning, preparation, and implementation of this productive event, which attracted strong interest from our students, the Head of the Social Security Program, Dr. Yunus Bayram, was responsible for interinstitutional coordination, communication, and faculty coordination. Lecturer Dr. Kübra Sayaner Ak coordinated student participation, Lecturer Nur Selin Dur prepared the event poster, and Dr. Hasan Aslan moderated the event. The dedicated efforts of the program team ensured that the event was carried out with academic maturity and institutional professionalism.

At the closing of the event, our Director Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arslan celebrated the Social Security Week of the Provincial Directorate staff, faculty members who contributed to the program, and the students, and presented a certificate of appreciation to Mustafa Şaban Çengel in recognition of his contributions.
