Professional Introduction and Awareness Training Conducted by the Coast Guard Command

A “Coast Guard Professional Introduction and Awareness Training” was organized by the Department of Transportation Services at Bartın University Bartın Vocational School in order to increase students’ professional awareness and raise their consciousness regarding maritime safety. The event, held at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, was attended by the Director of Bartın Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arslan, vice directors, academic staff, and students.

Within the scope of the training conducted by the Western Black Sea Group Command of the Turkish Coast Guard Command, participants were informed about the mission and operational structure of the Coast Guard Command, rip current risks, proper intervention methods during drowning incidents at sea, maritime safety, and career opportunities within the organization. The event not only aimed to raise awareness regarding life safety at sea but also provided important information about the duties and organizational structure of the Coast Guard.

Following the event, various equipment used by the Turkish Coast Guard Command was exhibited at a stand set up at the entrance of the conference hall, where participants were informed about the operating principles of the equipment.

At the end of the program, the Director of Bartın Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arslan, presented a certificate of appreciation to Lieutenant Mustafa Er on behalf of the Western Black Sea Group Command of the Coast Guard in recognition of their valuable contributions.
