Exemplary Achievement from Public Relations Students: 24 Social Responsibility Projects Successfully Completed
Within the scope of the Volunteering Studies course, 24 social responsibility projects carried out by students of the Public Relations and Promotion Program at Bartın Vocational School were successfully completed by the end of the Fall Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year. Under the supervision of Dr. Özkan Avcı, students actively engaged in the field throughout the semester, developing solutions to various social issues.
Approved by the Social Responsibility Project Coordination Office and meticulously implemented during the semester, the projects were finalized during the final exam week. The evaluation process, initiated by the Project Evaluation Board Members, resulted in meaningful social impact through the dedicated efforts of the students.
A closer look at the project themes reveals that five environmental projects aimed at raising environmental awareness and protecting nature were successfully completed. Initiatives such as “One Sapling, One Future” and “Leave Your Mark, Not Your Trash” promoted awareness of environmental cleanliness and afforestation. Three animal rights projects supported the feeding and sheltering needs of stray animals. Six social support projects strengthened community solidarity by reaching individuals in need. Additionally, seven educational projects covering a wide range of topics—from technology addiction to language learning—were completed. Two projects in the field of culture and arts, along with one project focusing on combating addiction, also contributed to raising social awareness.
Students who completed their projects concluded the semester successfully by reporting their experiences and project outcomes.
