Within the scope of the Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol signed between the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), the Protocol Executive Board (PYK) convened on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., hosted by the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The protocol aims to improve the quality of vocational education and enable students to establish closer connections with the business world. In this context, Bartın University and the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry are carrying out efforts at the local level to strengthen education–industry cooperation and expand students’ opportunities for practical training.

The meeting, chaired by Halil Balık, President of the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was attended by the Director of Bartın Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arslan, vice directors, and members of the chamber’s board of directors.

During the meeting, discussions focused on planning activities to be carried out within the framework of the protocol, increasing opportunities for practical training, strengthening students’ industry connections, and improving the employability of graduates. In his post-meeting remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arslan stated: “University–industry collaboration is of great importance for our students’ professional development and regional growth. Through this cooperation, we aim to enable our students to take an active role in the sector, increase hands-on learning opportunities, and enhance the employability of our graduates.”

While Bartın University continues to align its educational processes with industry needs and provide practical learning opportunities for its students, such partnerships with the business world are expected to contribute significantly to regional development.

As Bartın University, we would like to thank Halil Balık, President of the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for hosting the meeting and for his valuable support.
